DMCA Policy

The short version

PicPlots displays dream posts uploaded by its members. If a photo on the board infringes your copyright, tell us and we will review it. Members agree in the terms that they own or have the rights to everything they upload.

How to file a takedown notice

Email the support address published on the Contact page with the subject line "DMCA takedown" and include:

• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed (a link or description).
• The location of the infringing photo on the board, such as the plot coordinates "490, 490" or the Featured Top 12 rank. A screenshot helps.
• Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next

• We review complete notices promptly and remove or disable access to the photo while we do.
• We notify the member whose photo was removed and share the substance of the notice with them.

Counter-notices

If your photo was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, email the same address with a counter-notice: identify the removed photo and its location, state under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed in error, include your name, address, and phone number, consent to the jurisdiction of your federal district court (or ours, if you're outside the US), and sign it. If the complaining party doesn't notify us of a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the photo.

Repeat infringers

We release the plots of accounts that repeatedly infringe. Plots released for infringement are handled under the refund policy's content-removal rules.
